Qualifications/Experience:
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required
- Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) clinical license
- Active Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) educator license
- Previous school-based COTA experience preferred
- Ability to complete time-sensitive credentialing (fingerprints required prior to start)
- Flexibility to travel between school locations within the district
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy assistance to students, supporting IEP goals and district initiatives
- Work closely with licensed Occupational Therapists, educators, and families to promote student progress
- Document and track student performance in accordance with state, federal, and district requirements
- Travel as an itinerant COTA to deliver services across multiple school sites, adapting to varied bell schedules and caseload sizes
- Support students with diverse diagnoses and developmental levels, ages PreK-22
- Participate in team meetings, student assessments, and treatment planning
