Enhance the lives of elementary students by utilizing your Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) expertise in an engaging, educational environment. This full-time contract opportunity is available immediately and runs through June 2027, providing stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the academic year.
As a valued COTA, you’ll join an onsite team working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The position centers around supporting students at the elementary level, helping them develop skills necessary for classroom participation, daily activities, and overall learning success.
Qualifications and Experience Desired:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in California
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and school support staff
- Passion for enriching students’ academic and developmental growth
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement therapy interventions as outlined by the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Support development of students’ daily living and motor skills within the elementary setting
- Document progress and collaborate on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere conducive to learning and participation
- Maintain accurate records and follow state and district guidelines
- Participate in regular team meetings and consultations
