- Valid COTA certification and licensure in Massachusetts, or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in school-based occupational therapy strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEPs and school documentation requirements
- Ability to effectively implement therapeutic interventions under the direction of an OTR/L
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to support varying student needs
- Positive communication style and collaborative approach with teachers, parents, and support staff
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering targeted OT interventions to support students' access to education and daily participation
- Tracking progress and assisting with assessment and documentation as part of the IEP process
- Adapting activities and environments to foster student success and independence
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating with multidisciplinary staff
- Providing consultation and resources to classroom teachers to enhance student outcomes
