Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based setting, specifically with middle school students, is strongly preferred
- Solid knowledge of IEP development, assessments, and progress reporting
- Ability to adapt interventions to individual student needs
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary team members
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional performance in a school environment
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans and IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate student participation in classroom activities
- Provide direct therapy as well as consultation within the school setting
- Document services, maintain up-to-date records, and contribute to IEP meetings and evaluations
- Foster positive relationships to create an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere
