Middle School School Occupational Therapist | Elgin, Illinois

Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Illinois
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment preferred
- Familiarity with middle school-aged students and their developmental needs
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle caseload demands
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork capabilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational needs within the educational framework
- Develop and execute therapy interventions and supports both in and out of the classroom
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultative services and resources to staff for effective student inclusion and accommodation
- Foster a positive, engaging, and safe therapeutic environment
