As a valued Occupational Therapist, you'll collaborate closely with dedicated staff, including a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), to deliver holistic care and create an engaging therapeutic environment for students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including COTAs and school staff
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to varied caseloads and shifting needs
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations with professionalism and empathy
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students based on IEP goals and assessments
- Collaborate with the COTA and educational staff to ensure smooth delivery of services
- Document progress, maintain case records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Provide direct therapy sessions focused on enhancing students’ functional and academic skills
- Help facilitate students’ participation in classroom and school activities
- Communicate with families and staff to address student progress, achievements, and recommendations
