Step into a rewarding role supporting students across elementary, middle, and high school settings in the Long Beach, CA area. This contract opportunity is full-time at 40 hours per week, beginning as soon as possible and extending through 6/5/26. You'll manage a caseload of 49 students, working across three different campuses to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure and certification as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Experience in a school-based setting required
- Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload across multiple locations
- Strong collaborative skills for working with educators, families, and related service providers
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a diverse range of students, adjusting interventions to meet individual needs
- Evaluate and re-evaluate students to develop effective treatment plans that promote academic success and independence
- Travel between three school sites to maintain continuity of care and therapeutic supports
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate OT goals into each student’s educational plan
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation per district and professional standards
- Provide input for Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and assist with progress reporting
