You’ll join a supportive team, working full-time hours as you provide specialized occupational therapy services in a school setting. A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) will collaborate closely with you, ensuring comprehensive care for your students. Caseload specifics are in the process of being finalized, offering you the chance to tailor your approach to current student needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid and current California Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Previous experience working in a school-based setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to develop, implement, and update IEP goals in collaboration with educators and families.
- Comfortable supervising and partnering with a COTA.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess students’ motor skills, sensory needs, and independence.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and intervention plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, and other therapists.
- Provide direct therapy services within designated school hours.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports.
- Foster an inclusive, supportive atmosphere to maximize each student’s potential.
