In this assignment, you'll collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to deliver impactful therapy services. Additionally, you will supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), helping to guide and mentor their daily activities.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license and eligibility to practice in the state.
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting preferred.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise and mentor a COTA.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and documenting progress.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students at both the elementary and middle school sites.
- Conduct assessments to inform therapy plans and support students’ access to curriculum.
- Supervise and support a COTA, including assigning tasks and reviewing performance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for intervention planning and implementation.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, progress notes, and IEP documentation.
- Communicate effectively with caregivers and school staff to maximize student outcomes.
