Required Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist credentials
- Previous experience or interest in school-based occupational therapy
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to changing student needs and multitask across school settings
- Commitment to professional ethics, student confidentiality, and best practices
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver therapy services to students with a diverse range of needs from Kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with the Early Childhood Assessment Team in screening and evaluating younger students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
- Support student access to learning by addressing sensory, motor, and functional needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to maximize therapeutic outcomes
