This contract position offers a dynamic setting working with K-12 students in a collaborative, supportive school environment near Buffalo Grove, IL. You’ll split your time between an Early Childhood Assessment Team and multiple elementary buildings, engaging with students of various ages and needs.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapist credentials required
- Previous school-based OT experience preferred, but new grads welcome to apply
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A flexible, student-centered approach to therapy and collaboration with educators and families
- Ability to manage a varied caseload of students, providing individualized and group therapy
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, supporting their educational goals
- Assess, plan, and implement treatment strategies, adapting to the unique needs of each child
- Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 7:45am-3:15pm (37.5 hours per week)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including participation in early childhood assessments
- Document progress and maintain records in compliance with school guidelines
- Travel between multiple sites as required within the district
