Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy credentials required
- Experience working in school-based OT settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to the needs of varied student caseloads, including early childhood through grade 12
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to maintaining best practices and supporting student independence
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to address students’ gross and fine motor needs, sensory processing, and functional skills
- Deliver direct therapy services in both small group and individual settings, as scheduled across multiple school sites
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support inclusive learning environments
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings, providing professional insights and recommendations for student support
- Rotate between involvement with Early Childhood Assessment Team and multiple elementary buildings as needed
