This opportunity lets you support learners across K-12, contributing skills to both an Early Childhood Assessment Team and multiple elementary school settings. Enjoy a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday (7:45 am–3:15 pm), providing consistent support throughout the school year.
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist credentials and licensure for practice in Illinois
- Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to adapt to a varied caseload with students of different ages and needs
- Strong communication and collaborative skills to partner with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering student independence and engagement through evidence-based interventions
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities across diverse K-12 populations and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver OT services to meet students’ educational and developmental goals, often as part of an Early Childhood Assessment Team or within elementary school environments
- Participate in IEP meetings; collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure cohesive student support
- Monitor progress, provide documentation, and recommend adaptive strategies or accommodations as needed
- Travel between locations or school buildings as required to manage a dynamic caseload
