School Occupational Therapist | Arlington, Texas
Take your expertise as an Occupational Therapist to a school-based setting where you’ll play a crucial role in student support and development. This contract opportunity runs from now until May 21, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours each week. Serving a small district, you’ll work across multiple schools, collaborating with two to three Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). Your primary duties will include conducting evaluations and providing essential supervision.
Candidates must maintain a detailed weekly timelog, submitted to the Director to ensure official approval of hours. Compensation is based strictly on presence at school; coverage does not extend to breaks or absences.
Key Qualifications:
- Current license and standing as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience in school settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with ESPED (IEP System) is essential
- Capacity to supervise and mentor COTAs
- Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ needs and create tailored occupational therapy interventions
- Complete evaluations, documentation, and required compliance paperwork
- Supervise and support COTAs in delivering quality care district-wide
- Collaborate with education teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Manage and submit accurate weekly timelogs for approval
This is an onsite position, providing hands-on engagement with students and staff across the district. You’ll be joining a supportive environment where your expertise in evaluations and supervision will make a significant impact.
