Occupational Therapist School Setting in Irving, TX

Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Comfortable serving district-wide, working with 2-3 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs)
- Proficient with ESPED (IEP System), ensuring accurate documentation and reporting
- Strong organizational skills, especially in maintaining and submitting a weekly timelog for time approval
- Familiarity with conducting evaluations and supervising COTAs
Key Responsibilities
- Work onsite across multiple schools within a close-knit district
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Oversee and provide guidance to 2-3 COTAs, ensuring best practices in therapy delivery
- Accurately document student progress and update IEPs in ESPED
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to optimize support for each student
- Send weekly timelogs to the Director for time tracking and approval
Job Details
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (contract duration: ASAP – 5/21/27)
- Compensation provided only for hours physically worked onsite (not eligible for paid district breaks or absences)
- Onsite position serving the entire school district
