This leave coverage position offers full-time hours, Monday through Friday, with assignments beginning as soon as possible and continuing through October 9, 2026. You'll work onsite exclusively, collaborating closely with education teams to make a lasting impact on student development and access to learning.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Occupational Therapist certificate (covering ages birth through 21)
- Experience or interest in K-12 school-based occupational therapy
- Ability to adapt intervention strategies to diverse student ages and needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with conducting assessments and developing individualized plans
- Must complete a background check upon offer acceptance
Primary Duties:
- Deliver direct therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with their individual education plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate students’ functional needs and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Provide recommendations for classroom adaptations and support for student participation
- Document progress, maintain required records, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Adjust caseload management as assignments and age groups may vary during your contract
- Uphold professional standards and confidentiality in every aspect of your work
This contract offers a structured schedule of 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to work consistently and make meaningful connections with students. The number of schools served will be determined to optimize your expertise and support district needs.
