Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for New York State
- Background in school-based OT services, preferably with elementary students
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and related service professionals
- Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and self-help needs
- Develop and execute tailored treatment plans aligned with each student's IEP
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within the school environment
- Monitor progress, maintain detailed records, and communicate updates to staff and parents
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP planning
- Educate teachers and support staff on strategies for student success
