Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in Minnesota
- Previous experience in a school or pediatric environment is preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse learning needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration with staff, students, and families
- Demonstrated organizational abilities to manage caseloads and documentation efficiently
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluate students’ functional abilities within the school environment
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in alignment with students’ IEPs
- Provide both direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, staff, and families
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to modify classroom environments and support student participation
- Track student progress, update goals, and maintain comprehensive records
- Participate in IEP meetings, communicating findings and recommendations clearly to team members
- Deliver in-services or training for staff as needed regarding occupational therapy interventions
