You will work closely with approximately 12 students, contributing your expertise to enhance their functional and educational outcomes. The position offers 5.5 direct service hours per week, giving you the flexibility to thoughtfully plan interventions and collaborate with faculty and families to maximize student success.
What You’ll Bring:
- Active Occupational Therapy license in the state
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and occupational therapy best practices for school-aged children
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to eligible students in grades 1–5
- Prepare and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ functional needs related to school performance
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers
- Participate in IEP team meetings when necessary to share input and progress updates
