- Dedicated experience or training in school-based occupational therapy
- Ability to adapt your strategies to diverse student needs, fostering independence and participation in classroom activities
- Commitment to collaborating with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills
What your day-to-day experience looks like:
- Delivering direct and consultative OT services aligned with students’ IEPs
- Assessing students to develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student learning
- Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and data tracking
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to decision-making
- Educating staff and families on strategies to ensure student success
- Creating a positive, inclusive learning environment
