School Occupational Therapist | Broadalbin, New York
Step into a rewarding school-based role supporting K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist. This part-time position offers a dynamic and engaging opportunity to work with a diverse caseload, helping students reach their full potential in both academic and personal growth. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families, providing specialized assessments and therapy interventions that make a meaningful impact. Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapist licensure
- Experience providing OT services in a school environment (preferred)
- Comfortable working with students across K-12 grades
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to develop and implement IEP goals tailored to individual needs
- Passion for supporting student success in an educational setting
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities and collaborate on the development of IEPs
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services designed for the unique needs of each student
- Document progress, maintain compliance, and participate in team meetings
- Engage with school staff and families to provide recommendations and resources
- Foster a supportive, inclusive, and positive learning environment
- Manage scheduling and prioritize caseload requirements
