Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in New York State
- Experience providing OT services within school settings or with pediatric populations
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to start ASAP and dedication to fulfilling contract requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans
- Assess students’ fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills needs
- Document progress, maintain records, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings
- Collaborate closely with teachers to integrate strategies within the classroom environment
- Educate and engage families in strategies to support their child’s development
- Maintain compliance with school and district policies, as well as all ethical and legal requirements
