School Occupational Therapist - Carterville, Illinois

As an Occupational Therapist in a school environment, you’ll work collaboratively with educators, families, and other specialists to assess and address the unique needs of students. While specific caseload details will be finalized soon, you’ll have the opportunity to help students build the confidence and skills necessary for academic and personal success.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric OT setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to accommodate diverse student abilities
- Enthusiasm for fostering growth and independence in children and adolescents
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Implement therapy services to help students achieve their educational goals
- Consult with teachers and parents regarding student progress and strategies
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to support student success
