Step into a rewarding opportunity as a full-time Occupational Therapist supporting students from September 18th through January 4th. This contract position spans both middle school and elementary sites, enabling you to make a significant impact across a diverse range of ages and abilities. You'll collaborate closely with educators and administrators, while also having the opportunity to supervise a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) within your caseload.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Proven ability to supervise and mentor a COTA
- Skilled in creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adaptable with strong communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to assigned students at both the middle and elementary school sites
- Assess student needs and develop effective treatment plans in accordance with IEP goals
- Perform and document evaluations, progress reports, and required compliance paperwork
- Supervise and guide the work of a COTA, ensuring quality and continuity of care
- Consult regularly with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning as needed
