Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Texas
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development, therapy documentation, and progress tracking
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other therapy professionals
- Compassionate approach to therapy and commitment to supporting diverse learners
- Proficiency with digital documentation and communication tools
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services to students in line with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on goals such as fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence
- Split schedule: three days working onsite in schools, and two days working remotely for consultative and documentation tasks
- Participate in evaluation and assessment processes, and contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings
- Consult and communicate with parents, teachers, and staff to optimize therapy outcomes
- Maintain timely and accurate records, session notes, and reports
- Collaborate closely with the existing team of OTs and the COTA to coordinate services
