Make a meaningful impact in the lives of K-12 students as a contract occupational therapist working onsite across two nearby schools. You’ll collaborate with educators and support staff, delivering essential services to students with mild to moderate disabilities. This assignment is set to start as soon as possible and will continue through December, providing consistent hours each week at locations just ten minutes apart.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapy license (NJ OT License required)
- Experience supporting school-aged children (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation standards
- Ability to travel between two schools within close proximity
- Compliance with any additional state or district requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic interventions for students in grades K-12
- Manage a caseload at both schools, spending two days per week at each site
- Deliver services aligned with student goals, collaborating with teachers and special education teams
- Complete timely evaluations, treatment planning, and progress reports
- Communicate effectively with families, faculty, and other professionals
- Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet individual student needs
