What we’re looking for:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in New Jersey
- Previous experience or strong interest in a school-based setting
- Ability to support students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skill development
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with families, educators, and team members
- Creative, adaptable approach—open to providing both onsite and potential homebound services
What you’ll be doing:
- Delivering occupational therapy services to students, with an initial caseload focused on children around 9–10 years old
- Assessing students’ abilities and developing individualized treatment plans to address each child’s unique needs
- Collaborating with teachers, administrative staff, and families to support students’ academic participation and success
- Maintaining accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with IDEA and IEP guidelines
- Participating in IEP meetings, team consultations, and ongoing professional development
- Providing homebound services for one student and potentially expanding in-school hours to support additional students as needed
