Elementary Middle School School Occupational Therapist | Columbus, Ohio

Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Ohio occupational therapist license required
- Previous school-based occupational therapy experience preferred
- Familiarity with K-12 educational settings, including elementary, middle, and high school populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to accommodate a broad range of learning and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to identify functional capabilities and needs of students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in collaboration with the educational team
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services within classroom settings as well as in small groups or one-on-one
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and families to maximize student achievement and participation
- Provide recommendations for adaptations, modifications, and assistive technology as appropriate
