An excellent contract opportunity awaits an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based and home health services. This role focuses on delivering high-quality OT support to students, creating an inclusive learning environment and promoting independence across multiple settings.
The position is required for three days per week, from August 24th through September 25th, with a flexible schedule most often set as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday—but adjustments can be made to fit your availability.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Capability to support students with diverse needs in both classroom and home health contexts
- Strong communication and collaborative skills with educators, families, and other professionals
- Ability to plan, implement, and document individual treatment plans
- Familiarity with IEPs and school protocols a plus
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess students to identify OT needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services in schools and potentially home environments
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Adapt and modify environments, tasks, and materials to foster student independence
- Maintain accurate records and report progress toward established goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings as needed, contributing expertise
