What you'll bring:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Michigan (or eligibility)
- Previous experience in a school setting, particularly with students with moderate cognitive impairments or Autism, is highly valued
- Expertise in individualized assessments, treatment planning, and implementing OT interventions
- Strong documentation and Medicaid billing skills (experience with EdPlan is a plus, but not required)
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills to partner with a multi-disciplinary education team
Your daily impact:
- Provide direct therapy and consultation services to students across resource rooms, Regional Moderate Cognitive Impairment programs, and ECSE classes
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop or update IEP goals as needed
- Document services and Medicaid billing in EdPlan, with thorough support and system training provided
- Collaborate with special educators, classroom staff, and families to foster student growth and functional independence in school settings
- Participate in team meetings and collaboratively monitor student progress
