Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license in Rhode Island
- Prior experience working within school settings, specifically with children and adolescents
- Understanding of IEPs and ability to adapt therapy to individual needs
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational teams
- Excellent organizational skills to manage documentation and caseloads efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to a caseload of 14 students
- Assess students’ motor skills and develop individualized intervention plans tailored to ESY goals
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to integrate therapy activities into the classroom
- Offer strategies and resources to families and staff to promote student progress
- Maintain timely and accurate records, including progress notes and documentation required by the school
