What we’re seeking:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Rhode Island
- Experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, goal development, and progress monitoring
- Ability to design and implement creative interventions for diverse needs
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills for documentation and record keeping
- Quick adaptability, able to jump into assignments on short notice
Responsibilities include:
- Providing occupational therapy services to a caseload of 14 students during the ESY term
- Conducting assessments, developing individualized goals, and documenting student progress
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and family members to facilitate student success
- Adapting strategies and interventions to support students’ educational participation and functional independence
- Participating in meetings and sharing insights regarding each student’s unique strengths and needs
- Maintaining accurate, timely records in accordance with school and district guidelines
