Occupational Therapist School Setting - Daggett, CA
Make a meaningful impact supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school-based environment. This contract opportunity offers a steady schedule of 35 hours per week, providing hands-on services exclusively in person. You’ll play a vital role in empowering students to achieve their educational and developmental goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for the state
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with education staff and families
- Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students, tailored to individual needs
- Conduct assessments to inform individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, special education teams, and families to support student learning and independence
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and gather necessary information to support billing requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to developing student goals
- Uphold professional and regulatory standards at all times
