This is a full-time, onsite position focused on providing crucial leave coverage across a variety of K-12 educational settings. You’ll help students of different ages reach their full potential, designing interventions that foster independence and participation within the school environment. The specific schools and caseload will be assigned upon placement, giving you the chance to impact diverse student groups and make a meaningful difference during your assignment.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Colorado Department of Education certification as an Occupational Therapist, authorized to serve individuals from birth through age 21.
- Previous experience in a K-12 school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with educational teams, administrators, and families.
- Ability to adapt services and interventions for a range of student needs and age levels.
- Commitment to timely completion of all school and state-specific credentialing, including successful passing of a background check post-offer.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs and 504 plans.
- Assess student abilities, develop intervention strategies, and document progress towards goals.
- Partner with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers for cohesive student care.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding therapy goals and student achievements.
- Maintain organized records to ensure adherence to school policies and legal guidelines.
