As a school-based Occupational Therapist in this position, you will work collaboratively with educators, families, and other professionals to help students achieve their academic and functional goals. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue through October 2026, with typical hours scheduled Monday through Friday for a total of 37.5 hours per week. School assignments and specific caseload details will be confirmed upon placement, ensuring that your skills are well-matched to the students’ needs.
What we are looking for:
- Current Colorado Department of Education certification for Occupational Therapists (covering ages birth through 21)
- Previous experience in school-based or pediatric Occupational Therapy preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation abilities
- Ability to adapt to a range of student needs and educational environments
- Commitment to upholding compliance and ethical standards
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in K-12, adapting interventions to age and individual needs
- Collaborate with IEP teams to develop and monitor student progress
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to necessary documentation
- Communicate with families, staff, and related service providers to ensure coordinated care
- Complete all credentialing, including a background check, upon offer acceptance
