An exciting contract opportunity is available for a skilled Occupational Therapist looking to make a tangible difference in the lives of students. This in-person role, scheduled from July 6, 2026, to August 14, 2026, takes place at a senior high school and focuses on supporting students with disabilities in grades 4 through 12. Workdays run from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, allowing for focused, meaningful work with students while maintaining balance in your own schedule.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in New York State
- Previous experience providing OT services in an educational or school setting
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement treatment plans addressing fine motor skills, daily living skills, and self-regulation
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Capacity to work independently and manage a varied student caseload
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students with disabilities in grades 4-12, helping them achieve functional independence in school and daily life
- Assess individual student abilities, needs, and goals, then design and execute targeted interventions
- Address fine motor development, daily living skills, and self-regulation strategies tailored to student needs
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate with educators, special education teams, and families to ensure holistic support for each student
- Participate in meetings and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
