Step into an important role making a difference for students as a part-time Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school-based setting near Fremont, CA. This contract position begins as soon as possible and lasts through June 11th, with hours and specific school location to be determined. Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for California, or eligibility under the California Occupational Therapy Practice Act
- Minimum of two years’ clinical experience in pediatric therapy, especially with developmental disabilities
- Prior experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and families within educational settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills
- Onsite availability required; virtual or hybrid options are not available for this position
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough student assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Deliver targeted therapy to students to promote fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living competencies
- Collaborate closely with educators, counselors, and family members to support each student’s unique needs
- Remain up-to-date on best practices and procedural compliance within school-based OT
- Document services and student progress in alignment with school and state requirements
- Participate in meetings, trainings, and ongoing program development
