Key Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Occupational Therapist License
- Possession of an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with students, families, and staff
- Ability to develop and implement individualized therapy plans that address a range of student needs
- Adaptability and organizational skills for managing a varied caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments to identify students’ needs and strengths
- Develop and execute individualized intervention plans to support participation in the educational environment
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including teachers and support staff, for holistic student success
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress towards targeted goals
- Document services rendered and progress reports in accordance with school and state requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing insights and advocating for student accommodations or services
