Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for practice
- Experience delivering occupational therapy in school settings preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP and 504 plan processes
- Expertise in standardized assessments, screenings, and data interpretation
- Exceptional communication skills for engaging with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to diverse student needs and educational objectives
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments for students referred to therapy services
- Interpret results, compile data, and communicate findings effectively with IEP teams and families
- Evaluate student performance to determine the need for occupational therapy intervention
- Develop tailored IEPs and/or 504 plans, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, fostering skill development for educational participation
- Provide guidance and support to teachers and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as assigned
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with all required records
