What You’ll Bring:
- Current, valid licensure or eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience or training in a school-based setting (desired)
- Confidence in working with K-12 age groups, including those with a range of physical, sensory, or developmental challenges
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with staff, teachers, and families
- Flexibility and dedication to maintain consistent support within contracted hours
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to K-12 students as outlined in individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate and assess students’ needs and set measurable therapy goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in student support meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote students’ success in school environments
- Participate fully during your contracted hours—with no additional district duties like bus duty or parent pickup
- Maintain engagement during direct and indirect service hours, which are both compensated
