Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of North Carolina (NC OT License)
- Previous experience as a school-based OT preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and educators
- Ability to manage a caseload across assigned school sites
- Adaptable and proactive approach to meeting students’ individual needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs for occupational therapy services within the educational setting
- Develop, implement, and review individualized therapy plans for students
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to help students achieve their IEP goals
- Consult with teachers and other support staff to ensure integrated support within classrooms
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress reports
