Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Washington
- Previous experience—or strong enthusiasm—for working in school-based occupational therapy
- Understanding of K-12 developmental milestones and academic environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially in multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt to different school cultures and manage a flexible caseload
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Deliver direct and indirect OT services within the educational setting
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education personnel, and families to integrate therapy goals with classroom activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with required reporting standards
- Travel to up to five school sites, ensuring comprehensive support for all assigned students
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, supporting students’ academic and functional success
