This contract opportunity allows you to directly work with students in a tightly knit district, where all school sites are within a few blocks, creating a close community feel and streamlined caseload management. Work will be onsite throughout the academic year, collaborating with another OT to ensure every student receives the attention they deserve.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L) for practice in Idaho
- Prior experience providing OT services in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of the IEP process and experience working with students with a variety of needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Flexibility to adapt to diverse caseload requirements and dynamic school settings
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Serve a caseload of approximately 35 students with IEPs, collaborating closely with another occupational therapist to split responsibilities districtwide
- Perform evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
- Deliver evidence-based therapy sessions to enhance students’ functional abilities and participation in educational activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate progress with educators and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights to support student outcomes
- Travel between assigned schools within the district—all conveniently located in close proximity
