In this role, you’ll have the chance to make an impact through both direct support (serving approximately 12 students) and consultative services (supporting around 80 students), across eight buildings within the district. Your expertise in evaluating, documenting, and helping implement strategies will play a vital role in each student’s educational journey.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Oregon, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge and experience with the fine motor development needs of students
- Strong organizational skills to travel and coordinate services across multiple locations
- Confidence in delivering both direct therapy and consultative support
- Ability to effectively conduct evaluations and write the fine motor portion of IEPs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 37.5 hours of OT services per week, both direct and consultative
- Conduct comprehensive OT assessments and evaluations
- Write and update the fine motor section of students’ Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Deliver hands-on OT interventions to help students meet educational goals
- Rotate among eight school buildings as assigned by the district schedule
