Embark on a meaningful opportunity to support K-12 students by providing essential Occupational Therapy services in a dynamic school-based environment. This contract role is based near Lakeville, MN and offers a chance to make an immediate impact by helping students achieve their educational goals. You will initially work approximately 20-24 hours per week, spread over three days, as you help address missed service time for a caseload of 26 students. After those minutes are made up, your schedule will taper to two days per week, providing a balanced workload and valuable flexibility.
Qualifications:
- Current OT license from the state of Ohio is required
- Previous experience working in school settings is preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to documentation and compliance
- Ability to collaborate with educational teams, families, and other service providers
- Compassion for working with children and a commitment to supporting their growth
Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to K-12 students on an assigned caseload
- Assess, plan, and implement interventions to support student success in school environments
- Document therapy sessions and maintain compliance with state and district requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adapt therapy schedules to ensure all missed minutes are addressed efficiently
