Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience providing occupational therapy in a school-based environment preferred
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with diverse needs
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for enhancing students’ access to education through targeted interventions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess student abilities and challenges within the classroom setting
- Develop and implement customized therapy plans aimed at improving fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities
- Consult and partner with teachers, staff, and families for integrated support strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, progress, and compliance requirements
- Support students in achieving their IEP goals, participate in IEP meetings, and update goals as needed
- Educate school staff on adaptive tools, classroom strategies, and techniques for student accommodation
