This contract position, based in the Denver area, provides the chance to make a real difference through leave coverage in school settings. As a valued professional, you’ll work full-time, weekdays, and collaborate with educational teams to help students achieve their functional and academic goals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Colorado Department of Education Occupational Therapist certification (serving ages birth through 21)
- Previous experience or strong interest in working within school settings (elementary through high school)
- Proven ability to adapt to diverse student needs and caseloads
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Must complete a background check upon offer acceptance
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across a range of educational environments within the district (exact school assignments to be determined)
- Evaluate and address student skills related to academic and functional success
- Develop individualized goals and intervention plans for students, working closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Assist in educational planning, provide direct and consultative services, and maintain all required documentation
- Support students in building independence and participation in school routines
- Manage caseloads that may span various ages (K-12)
This contract covers immediate leave requirements with the potential to further shape student learning outcomes. Enjoy the stability of a predictable Monday–Friday schedule at 37.5 hours per week, allowing you to balance professional fulfillment and personal time.
