Looking to make a positive impact as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic educational setting? This full-time contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated OT ready to support PreK-8 students across multiple sites during the 2026-2027 school year. With a weekly commitment of 40 hours from August 4, 2026, through May 27, 2027, you'll collaborate with school teams and families to foster student growth and independence.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active and current Occupational Therapy license (California)
- Prior experience providing occupational therapy services in school settings (PreK-8 preferred)
- Strong understanding of school-based therapy documentation and IEP processes
- Familiarity with completing evaluations, developing individualized intervention plans, and progress monitoring
- Comfortable traveling between multiple school sites as needed during the workweek
- Effective communicator, skilled in rapport-building with students, staff, and parents or guardians
- Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic, multitasking environments
- Teletherapy experience is valuable but service delivery will be onsite (not teletherapy/VOCO at this time)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based OT services to students across assigned schools
- Administer assessments and collaborate in IEP meetings as needed
- Create, implement, and monitor individualized OT goals and plans
- Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all interventions and evaluations
- Offer consultation and strategies to educational staff and families
- Engage with a multidisciplinary team to promote holistic student development
