This contract opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with experience in educational environments, offering a dynamic mix of evaluations, direct therapy, and consultation with both students and staff. You’ll work three days per week—with the potential for additional days if referral volume increases—providing seven hours of in-person support per day.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapy license in the state of Tennessee
- Previous experience providing OT services in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with administering and interpreting OT and sensory evaluations for students
- Ability to participate effectively in IEP and support team meetings
- Strong communication and consultation skills for working with staff and families
- Organizational skills to manage a caseload spread across multiple locations
Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT or sensory evaluations and re-evaluations for referred students
- Deliver direct therapy services to 11 students across 4 schools
- Provide consultations for 15-20 students, supporting both teachers and families
- Attend IEP and support team meetings, contributing expertise to student plans
- Collaborate with educators to help implement strategies that support student success
