Work closely with a supportive school team just outside of Tullahoma, TN, with a flexible, school-based schedule. This position is ideal for therapists who are passionate about fostering student success through evaluation, direct intervention, and collaborative consultation.
This assignment starts the first week of February and extends until just before the end of the school year. Enjoy a manageable three-day workweek (7 hours per day), with the possibility to increase days if OT referrals rise. In-person support is preferred, offering the chance to build strong, face-to-face relationships with students and educators.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license for practice in Tennessee
- Previous school-based OT experience is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of assessments for OT and sensory needs
- Comfortable coordinating across multiple school locations
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal, with students, staff, and families
- Organizational skills to balance direct therapy and consultative duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT and sensory evaluations for referred students or those needing re-evaluation
- Directly deliver services to 11 students across four school sites
- Provide consultation for teachers and support staff regarding 15-20 consultative students
- Attend IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings, contributing expertise toward educational plans
- Collaborate proactively to address student needs and share intervention strategies
